✈️🎨 6th Grade Art Student Soars in Aviation Contest!
Our 6th grade art students recently participated in the NASAO Aviation Art Contest with the theme "Women with Wings." Students created inspiring artwork celebrating barrier-breaking women in aviation.
We're thrilled to share that Jae Hee’s piece, featuring the first armless woman to fly a plane, won 1st place in Minnesota for her age group and is headed to the national competition in Washington, D.C.!

Our 6th grade class stepped up as volunteer "patients" for our 11th/12th grade EMR students during Pediatric Week! 👩⚕️👨⚕️ Each 6th grader acted out a medical scenario—like appendicitis, a diabetic emergency, asthma attack, bee sting, and more—while the EMR students used their assessment skills to determine what was going on.
Treating pediatric patients is different from working with adults or teens, so this was an awesome hands-on opportunity to practice communication, build confidence, and take vital signs in a kid-focused way. Great job to both groups for making it such a valuable experience! 🩺👏

The school received new drums this week, and our 2nd grade musicians wasted no time experimenting with different rhythms and beats, filling the room with energy and creativity. Depending on the drum, they used their hands or mallets to explore different sounds and techniques.

🌍✈️ Final travel thoughts from our high schoolers in Europe.
Thursday, they visited Liechtenstein, where many got their passports stamped before heading to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles. 🏰 They learned about King Ludwig II’s dream of building the perfect fairy tale castle and later enjoyed a traditional Bavarian bratwurst meal ("the wurst meal," according to Alex 😆). The evening wrapped up with some exploring in Munich’s underground mall.
Friday was filled with history as they toured Munich with an incredible guide, visited the university memorial for Hans and Sophie Scholl, and made a solemn but meaningful stop at Dachau. To lift spirits, they ended the day at BMW World before enjoying one last evening in the city. 🚗💡
Saturday gave them time for final explorations before heading to Amsterdam for their flight home. What an unforgettable adventure! We hope our students are sharing their favorite memories and stories now that they’re back! 🗺️✨

Our Kindergarten and 1st-grade teachers had some fun with their students for April Fools' Day! 🎭🎉
They pulled a switcheroo, swapping classrooms for the first part of the day—going through each other's routines! 😆 And for an extra trick, they handed out "brown-E’s" as a special treat… only to reveal they were paper cutouts of the letter "E" colored brown! 🍫😂
The laughs and giggles made for a memorable and fun-filled morning!
