Our high school Spanish students recently embarked on a thrilling field trip to the MN Zoo and Teresa’s restaurant.🇲🇽📚
Our students had the unique opportunity to listen to presentations spoken entirely in Spanish about some of the animals that live at the zoo. 🐢🦜
At the restaurant, they put their language skills to the test by ordering mouthwatering dishes like enchiladas, tacos, and guacamole entirely in Spanish!🌮🥑

🤔🔍Our 9th-grade science class was given a container of “sludge.” They were tasked with figuring out what each of the 6 unknown substances are based on physical properties determined in the lab.
🔬To do this, they applied various separation techniques and unveiled the secrets hidden within the mixture. They carefully observed, hypothesized, and experimented to reveal the individual components of the unknown substances. Whether separating liquids from solids or isolating different components based on their physical properties, our students showcased their skills and teamwork to find the results.👩🔬👨🔬

🇨🇳Mrs. Mi has been very busy with her Chinese students of all ages. She loves to share about Chinese culture, traditions, and the art of the language and characters.
🦋🐸🛩️Elementary students practiced the art of origami. They learned to fold butterflies, airplanes, and frogs.
The high school students have been memorizing Chinese characters and practicing writing them out from memory. They also had the opportunity to apply all of their Chinese knowledge in the real world on a field trip to the Asia Mall. Here, they used chopsticks, recognized characters, and noticed unique pieces of the culture.
Through all of this, one of Mrs. Mi’s students has expressed interest in becoming a missionary to areas in China that have been untouched by the Gospel! 🙏

👰🤵Mrs. Q and Mr. U Tie the Knot! 💍🎉
Our little kindergarteners witnessed the cutest wedding ever between two letters that stick together forever.
To celebrate the union, they indulged in some delightful cupcakes. Because what's a wedding without a sweet treat, right? 🧁They even learned some dances that you would traditionally do at a wedding dance: the Chicken Dance and the Bunny Hop!💃🎶

📐🪁Our geometry students have successfully wrapped up their unit on quadrilaterals and polygons. They went beyond textbooks to showcase their newfound knowledge and created their very own kites! The challenge was on to ensure their kites had the perfect balance of angles and sides.
🤓Applying everything they learned in hands-on experiments as well as creating a word problem to go with their kite project, these students are well-rounded and headed for the skies!

Our PreK students are learning about dinosaurs in their classroom, but when they heard that the principal has dinosaur toys in his office…a field trip was in their future!
❓They asked questions, shared their own dino knowledge, and even had the chance to touch and feel the toy dinosaurs!

💯 Yesterday was our 100th day of school for this year, and our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students celebrated this milestone with excitement!
👣 First graders practiced counting by ones and tens all the way to 100. They estimated how far they would get with 100 footprint cut-outs. And to top it off, they dressed up as 100-year-old people!
🔎Kindergarteners spent the day pretending to be secret agents, trying to solve a mystery. They were cracking codes, finding clues, practicing counting to 100, and more. Their day ended with a special visit from "Zero the Hero."

It was inspiring to see them apply critical thinking skills, recalling verses, and reflecting on the significance of the scriptures.

🪡Ms. Caron's Chemistry class tested their sewing skills to enhance their learning about moles.
⚛️They study the mole on the atomic level. But to really understand how big a mole is, they created equations to compare a mole of an everyday object to something on a large scale, like the circumference of Jupiter. They made their own moles and created dioramas to show how the mole relates to the actual size.
