👏🗣️Our talented 6th-grade students took the podium to showcase their impressive "how-to" speeches! They demonstrated their research skills by diving deep into their chosen topics. 😛😝 7th grade Tasters vs. Non-tasters 😛😝 Mrs. Hanson's students “tasted” test strips with certain food chemicals on them. Thiouria, the bitter taste in cabbage and broccoli, and Sodium Benzoate, a food preservative that usually tastes sweet or salty. 25-30% of the population cannot taste either of these. 🙏🏾At UCA, we strive daily to align our lives with God's purpose and leave our selfish desires behind. Prayer is a central part of this focus. Whether it be the students sharing prayer requests as a class, disciple groups praying for each other, our ministry team praying for their peers as they enter the building, teachers praying with parents at conferences, staff praying for each other during devotions, our leadership praying during meetings...the list could go on. 📐After learning about different types of triangles in Geometry class, Mrs. Larson’s students designed wooden puzzles using triangles. 🧸😴 What better way to start a week than to wear your pajamas all day!? Pajama Day kicks off our Winter Spirit Week with all kinds of cozy and a little bit of crazy. "Activate your gifts for his kingdom." ☝️ Mrs. Berry spoke to our middle and high school students at chapel this week, assuring them that God gave each of them gifts and talents. Her prayer for the students is that they all have eyes to see God's vision. 👀 Her stories were about how she has felt God leading her in her life and how she has invited God to be a part of her adventures. She encourages us all to be obedient. We never know how the Lord will bless us and those around us! #ucathunder

🕯️This week, we held the National Honor Society induction ceremony, where Junior class members were officially inducted. Our NHS officers each spoke on one of the pillars of the society: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. 📏✨ Measurement Magic! 🔍 Our students in Miss Anderson’s first grade class took a unique approach to learning measurement! Using linking cubes and dominos as trusty measuring tools, they surveyed the room to quantify everything in sight. From the size of their feet 👣 to exploring the dimensions of their friendly classmates and even their classroom furniture 📚, every discovery was met with excitement and curiosity.
