🚨✈️ Our Emergency Medical Response (EMR) students recently put their training to the test in a high-intensity simulated plane crash scenario! 🤕 Volunteers were enlisted to act as injured passengers, made realistic by the “wounds” they received with makeup. From triaging patients and administering care in chaotic conditions, students demonstrated the vital skills they’ve learned throughout the course. This hands-on experience helped reinforce teamwork, quick thinking, and the importance of staying calm under pressure. 🏅 Congratulations to Danyella and Zac, our Athletes of the Week! ⛳️🏐 🏌️‍♀️Danyella played the best round out of the UCA girls at the last meet. She has been improving her skills a lot and has been beating half the UCA team at their practices, including the boys! 🏐 Zac is 42nd in the state with 66 digs. He has been a great servant leader on and off the court. He has also been a huge behind the scenes help to UCA athletics. 👏 Way to go, Danyella and Zac! Instead of just celebrating with food and decorations, they explored the historical context of the holiday—learning about the Battle of Puebla, its significance in Mexican history, and how it differs from Mexican Independence Day. 🌎🍛 Rice & Beans Week! 🫘🌎 Our UCA Middle and High School students are experiencing a meaningful opportunity to enjoy a simple meal while making a big impact. Each $3 lunch helped support Yulnefry (3rd grade, Dominican Republic) and Maria (8th grade, Guatemala), two students we sponsor through Child Hope and Provee. Thanks to your support, we’re helping provide daily meals, education, and hope for their futures. Our students enjoyed a delicious plate of rice and black beans with condiments like ranch, chili sauce, cinnamon sugar, and more—while also getting a taste of common Latin American food our sponsored students eat.
