From serves to spikes, digs to dives, they dove headfirst into the world of volleyball, ready to learn from the best. 🤝🌟More than just mastering the fundamentals of volleyball, this clinic was about fostering a love for the sport and instilling values of teamwork and sportsmanship. 💫Thank you to our high schoolers for inspiring our young Thunder athletes! #ucathunder #ucaathletics

The teachers have made the most positive impact on me, they are all kind and understanding. They have given me grace and had so much patience with me throughout the years. I am grateful for this school, and how I have grown here. UCA is unique because the community is nicer than most schools, and the teachers genuinely care about their students. My UCA experience has prepared me for my next stage of life by equipping me to have a strong faith foundation to be able to navigate difficult situations. One way UCA has had a positive impact on my life is by fostering amazing friendships throughout the years with people who really care for me. Something really unique about UCA are the teachers. They really care about you both spiritually and academically wanting to build real relationships with you. 😲✏️Today was a very exciting afternoon for Miss Anderson's first graders. When they returned from lunch, they discovered their pencils had gone on strike! ✍️The kids had to write a letter to them to convince them to come back. They quickly realized they took their pencils for granted, as erasing with a marker or pen does not work. Some kids decided to read their letters to the class to be even more convincing. 👏We are happy to report that after the pencils heard the heartfelt letters, they decided to return to their jobs for the rest of the year! 🎉

Aviation Discovery Flights ✈️🚁Guided by experienced pilots and instructors, our Aviation students had the opportunity to climb aboard these marvels of engineering and experience the thrill of aviation firsthand. Having to choose between an airplane or a helicopter was probably the worst part of the whole experience! 🌍💫 Each flight offered a unique perspective of the world below, igniting a passion for flight that will last a lifetime. As they gazed down upon the earth from above, they gained a newfound appreciation for the beauty and wonder of our world. As they touched down, back on solid ground, their smiles said it all—this was an experience they would never forget. 😄 #ucathunder #ucaaviation #ucastem

UCA has prepared me for the next stage of my life by providing leadership and spiritual opportunities every single day. UCA has made an enormous impact on my life, specifically my spiritual health. We are consistently taught more and more about the love of God towards us and how to better form a relationship with him. UCA has taken me out of my comfort zone and has made me a better leader for my future. There are many unique things about UCA, one being the environment. I have made so many connections with not only other students but most of the teachers and staff. I am extremely lucky to be surrounded by people who care about every part of my life. I will miss the time spent with my little buddies and being able to get together as one big family. UCA has equipped me with a transformed education. It has prepared me for something that goes beyond academics and extracurriculars; most importantly, it has prepared me for the spiritual battle. After attending UCA, I feel fully capable of taking on the next chapter of life, following wherever God's spirit leads me. Words can’t describe the positive impact that UCA has had on me. I’ve been going to UCA and legacy schools since pre-k and I can stand firm on the truth that had I attended anywhere else, my life trajectory would be entirely different. UCA has shaped and formed who I am as a person, and the transformation started when I stepped foot on the property. Something so unique about UCA that you don’t commonly see is the close-knit relationships built between student peers as well as teachers and staff. The presence of the Lord is within the walls of the school, and you can feel it. People are kind, loving, and compassionate. 🖋️🌟 Our Interim Head of School, Chad Peters, recently attended a City of Bloomington City Council meeting, where a proclamation for Volunteer Recognition Week was presented to him. 🚮 During our recent Missions Day, our high school students went to the Bloomington Ice Gardens to spruce up the grounds. They filled numerous garbage bags with trash that had been picked up from the property. 💜Mr. Peters accepted the proclamation, saying “We are honored to serve. We are trying to cultivate student leaders with a servant's heart, and this was a great opportunity to do that.” #ucathunder

🐣🌱Exploring the Miracle of Life! 🥚🐥Mrs. Troost’s kindergarten students have embarked on an egg-citing journey as they dive into the fascinating world of the chicken life cycle! From the moment the eggs arrived in the classroom, they observed carefully, marveling at the tiny movements within. Tiny cracks appeared, and one by one, the baby chicks emerged, fluffy and full of life! 🌟🐥 As they cradled the fluffy chicks in their hands, their hearts filled with love and appreciation for the beauty and fragility of life. 🌱💖 #ucathunder #ucaelementary

UCA has prepared me for my future through not only the education they have provided me with, but also through the Christ-like staff who have showed me how to have a strong faith like Mr.Chad Peters, Mrs.Larson, Ms.Luttio, Mr.Hilgenkamp, and Mrs.Diamond. UCA has shown me the importance of making my faith my own and becoming who God wants me to be, along with the importance of lifting others up around you. UCA has a student body who is more focused on building a community than any other school I've seen. UCA also has some of the most genuinely supportive teachers/staff I've ever had. I started at legacy school Bethany Academy in 7th grade and in that first year I realized how much the staff genuinely care about the students. I had never had a teacher who didn't judge me for having low grades and struggling in school until I came here and had Mr.Gingerich's bible class and Mr.Peters history class. That support is something that greatly changed my outlook on not only school but also life in general and showed me I was worth something. I will miss talking and joking with Ms.Ciri, Mr.Peterson, and Ms.Coleman at the office, Hilgy's very accurate teenage girl impressions, Mr.Peters passion for Christ and creating a Christ centered community, and Mr.Poole's out-of-pocket comments.” 💜We are so proud of you, Ava! #ucathunder #ucaclassof2024

⏱️Every second counts! 💪🚑Our high school students in Health class are learning to become real-life superheroes as they dive into the vital skill of CPR and are mastering the techniques that could one day save lives. 🫁💔Mr. Peters has immersed his students in hands-on CPR training, learning the proper chest compressions and rescue breaths techniques while also developing confidence, compassion, and quick thinking in high-pressure situations. #ucathunder #ucahighschool

Ms. Flaga's kindergarten students recently invited their parents to school. They were able to sit through a chapel service together and participate in fun classroom activities. 🧁🍩 "Muffins with Mom" and "Donuts with Dad" were two separate occasions where the students focused on the letters M and D, shared treats, sang songs, and colored with their parents. #ucathunder #ucaelementary

🌈Miss Caron’s Chemistry students recently turned the classroom into a kaleidoscope of fun colors! 🧪💧🔍Using litmus tests and reactions with cabbage water, they learned how to estimate pH value and determine if a compound is acidic or basic. #ucathunder #ucastem #ucaupperschool
